Week 2 of the RNS Club 10’s series was another great day at the Truro Saints Facility! This weekend welcomed the addition of the Truro Saints in a single round robin format, along with returning sides from week 1, Valley Rugby Union, ShoreDogs (combo from Eastern Shore & Pigdogs RFC’s), Riverlake RFC, Tars, and Halifax RFC.
The VRU Women remain top of the table with another weekend of winning; going 4-0 in the round robin play. The women showed their offensive and defensive strengths throughout the day, with great runs from Monique Coffey, Grace Pinch, and Keisha Kane.
The VRU Men’s side also had a good day, going 2-2 in round robin play. The men’s lineup showed some great youth prospects for the club and some new additions for the 10’s series. The Men lost in a close battle with Tars to start the day, picking up wins against the ShoreDogs and Riverlake, and then losing in the last game of the day to Truro.
