The third weekend of rugby in the Club 10’s series was a cold and snowy affair in Truro. The players braved the cold, snow covered pitch after RNS shoveled off the lines.
The women continued there unbeaten showing at the Club 10s! Reports from the field commend Keisha Kane and Grace Pinch for their fast pace and smiles on the field, and Elora McGirr for the hard hits throughout the day.
The girls junior 7s team also had great success in partnership with the Tars. A standout performance goes to Sarah MacDougall who had a stellar day with multiple try’s, good tackling and work on the pitch.
The men enjoyed some returning vets to the their lineup this weekend but it was not in the cards for the VRU men. The men fought hard in the conditions but lost in the round robin and played for the Shield at the end of the day.
Sunday our junior men returned to Truro to play in regional games. A great day was had with the junior men in better temperatures.
